Our Murphy Bed mechanisms are engineered for durability, supporting up to 1,000 lbs including the weight of the mattress, depending on the specific model and installation.
What type of mattress can I use with a Murphy Bed?
You can use most standard innerspring or memory foam mattresses up to 12 inches thick. We recommend avoiding ultra-plush pillow-top mattresses that may sag when stored vertically.
How long does shipping take and how is it delivered?
Standard orders typically ship within 5-7 business days. Due to the size and weight, beds are delivered via LTL freight with lift-gate service to ensure your system arrives safely at your doorstep.
Is professional installation required?
While our systems come with detailed DIY instructions, we recommend having two people for assembly. The bed cabinet must be securely anchored to wall studs for safety and stability.
What is your return policy for furniture items?
We offer a 30-day return policy on all uninstalled items in their original packaging. Please note that return shipping costs for freight items are the responsibility of the customer.
Do you offer a warranty on the lifting mechanisms?
Yes, all Murphy Bed Systems hardware kits come with a limited lifetime warranty on the piston or spring lifting mechanisms to guarantee long-term performance.
